TextAlerts

Did you know that TracCloud has a TextAlerts module? This allows the Trac System to send text messages to students and staff regarding upcoming, missed, or cancelled appointments. These SMS texts can be customized just like your appointment based emails and are sent at the same automated time. Offering an alternate form of notification to your students can ensure that they’re aware of their upcoming appointments.

In order for students to receive texts, they must opt into TextAlerts. This can be done through the Confirm Bio prompt on their dashboard (screenshot below, details on setting this up can be found here), or a staff member can opt them in for texts (assuming their permission group allows it). Staff can be opted into Text Alerts from the Contact & Other Data tab in their profile.

Alongside the automated texts, you can also manually send texts to students from the Student Entry view or even on the log listing to quickly notify them of something regarding their visit, appointment, etc. Texts can also be sent to staff from their staff profile.
