Availability Course Lists

Availability Course Lists allow you to assign groups of sections to availabilities, rather selecting specific sections or an overall subject. If you've ever wanted to create an availability for both MAT and ACTG, or BIO210 and 212 while excluding 211, this is the feature you'll want to use.

Step 1. Enabling Availability Course Lists

Go to Other > Other Options > Preferences > System Preferences, and set Allow Course Lists to be assigned to availabilities to Yes.

Step 2. Creating a Course List

This is covered in more detail in our Course List Basics article, but as a quick example, let's say you want a course list that represents all Math and Accounting courses. Go to Other > Listings > Course Lists > New Course List > Design, name, and save your new course list. Also be sure to link it to your profile as well.

Step 3. Assigning Availabilities to Course Lists

Once you have your Course List(s) ready, you can start updating your availabilities. When you create your available times, you will now see a File:1317187.png icon. Click on this search glass to view the available Course Lists and select the relevant list for this time slot. After saving, you're all set. When staff/students are searching for availabilities by subject, the list of availabilities will be filtered by the Center Course List, the Consultant Course List, and now the Availability Course List as well.
