==Search - Student Listing==

Being able to quickly and easily search for student populations or specific records is crucial for reviewing usage information or reaching out to your students. TracCloud offers a number of utilities to accomplish this, you can access the Students Listing by clicking the “Students” button at the top of your TracCloud dashboard (this phrasing can also differ based on System Preferences).
After you’ve reached the Student Listing, you can search for students in multiple ways. The most commonly used option to search for students is the NavSearch. This search bar appears on every listing in TracCloud, and provides a quick and easy way to search by ID, name, etc. You can right-click this menu to view a complete list of searchable fields to select, and you can combine multiple searches at once. Details and example searches for this utility can be found here.
In the Hamburger menu (top-left corner of the listing), you will find additional utilities to search for student records. The Search option contains a number of tabs that allow you to search related records. Appointments, visits, resource usage, registration detail, and even whether or not they’ve accepted your terms & conditions (if configured). In the top-left of this window, you can also change your search type. New Search will ignore all previous searches and will show you the results for only the criteria you entered, while Search Selection, Add to Selection, or Remove from Selection can be used to further expand or narrow down your previous searches.
Also in the hamburger menu is Power Search. This is another flexible search utility that you may have already seen on other listings. Use this to string together multiple searches, and use search symbols to get the exact results you need.
Once you have your final list of students, there are a number of tools available to make use of this. Under the hamburger menu, you can export the current list to CSV file, save the current selection to a new list, or even send a batch email.
While on the Students Listing, you can also open any student report and find a new option under Additional Search called Use current list of student records. This acts as a filter for your report results, allowing you to easily view the appointments, registrations, or visits of only your last queried set of students.
