==Payroll and Work Hour Tracking==
==Staff Tasks==

Did you know that you can track staff hours and payroll data within TracCloud? There are several ways to accomplish this, you can determine how work hours are calculated, who can manage work visits, and different pay rates for different work types.
Tasks are a great way to let your students and staff know about items to complete directly from the TracCloud Dashboard. Whether you are already familiar with creating tasks for students to complete or are new to creating tasks, creating them for staff will be just as easy!

To start, you will need to create a new task type to be assigned to your Staff by going to <i>Other > Other Options > Preferences > Task Types</i>. Here you can create a new Task Type that can be assigned to your staff by clicking on the <b>+</b> button and entering in the name for the new Task Type.

You can track staff hours based on 1 of 3 possible criteria. <b>Schedule</b>, where work hours are based on hours of availability. You can also use Work Types to change pay rate based on whether or not the availability was booked. Another option is <b>Visits</b>, in this case, staff work hours would be based on the hours they worked with students. If the student Sam Smith met with Jane Doe for 50-minutes, TracCloud would automatically count that as 50-minutes of work time for Jane.

Lastly, and most popular, <b>Consultant Work Time</b>. If this option is used, staff accounts are allowed to log themselves in and out of their work visits from their dashboard or a kiosk, similar to how a student would log themselves in and out on a kiosk for their own visits.<br>
From here, you will need to give your own permission group access to view that task type as an additional option by going to <i>Other > Other Options > Groups > [Your Group] > Center Access</i>, where you can select which Task Types you want to have access to.

Regardless of which method you use to track work hours, you can report on that data and TracCloud can calculate the total compensation for all of your consultants. You can run the <i>Payroll</i> report like the screenshot below, or use Visits by ?? to see details on the individual work visits that took place.
Now that we have the task type set up, you can go to your Staff listing (<i>Other > Listings > Staff</i>), select your staff member, then go to the Actions menu and select the Task you want to assign to them.

Both of these reports can be exported as a CSV file to easily manage this data in Excel or otherwise.
You will then have the opportunity to enter some additional information, such as the name of the task and any additional notes about it (You do not need to add a student since this is going to only the staff member).

Once you have created a task for that staff member, it will appear in their notifications for them to complete themselves, and after it has been completed it will also display in their staff timeline.

And that’s it! You can now create tasks for your staff members for whatever reasons you need. For more information on configuring Tasks on TracCloud, [[TracCloudGuideGlobalTasks|click here.]]
